2019 sees the launch of the brand new, National Campus Writing Competition, UniVerse. In its first iteration, the competition is one category only, “NON-FICTION” and we invite current students from eligible campuses to submit.

The competition is designed to offer tertiary students a platform to have their work seen by a panel of industry professionals and to have the opportunity to win industry-relevant prizes and experiences.

To be eligible, submissions must be entered via the Online Portal during the Competition Period, must address the designated theme and must be 1000 words or less (a maximum of 3 submissions permitted per student). The competition Winner will be announced in October, 2019. See the full terms and conditions.

The theme for 2019 is the student experience

No two experiences are the same when completing your tertiary studies, but someone can always relate - capture the essence of the student experience in a non-fiction piece.

Eligible submissions will be judged by a panel of industry professionals, who will select a shortlist, and ultimately the category winner. The shortlisted finalists will have the opportunity to be exhibited at tertiary campuses across Australia in the following calendar year.
